3D Ear

Teaching Methods

The 3D ear tutorial provides instruction on the anatomy of the middle and inner ear. In addition to text and 2D images (traditional anatomy-instruction methods), the tutorial employs computerized, interactive, three-dimensional models of anatomical structures. These models were derived from an MRI scan of a human cadaver (see the about page for more details on the origin of the models).

Tutorial Structure

The tutorial consists of the following sections:

  1. Overview
  2. Ossicles
  3. Tympanic Membrane
  4. Tendons
